Anies Admits That He Was So Busy That He Didn't Have Time To Review The Formula E Circuit, PSI: Go To Warteg Had Time

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan admitted that he was busy so he didn't have time to visit the location of the Formula E circuit in Ancol. This was stated by Anies when responding to criticism from PSI General Chair Giring Ganesha, who previously visited the area.

In response to this, the Head of DKI PSI DPW, Michael Victor Sianipar, understands that Anies is busy as a regional head. However, he is sure that Anies will be able to take the time to see firsthand the location where the circuit will be built in February.

The proof is that Anies once visited restaurants such as Warteg Peong in Pademangan for the second time on Tuesday, January 4. Anies also visited a warteg in Matraman on October 14, 2021.

"We understand that Mr. Anies is very busy, but we hope that Mr. Anies will also go to the field to check the Formula E circuit. He can explain to the public the exact location, how, where the preparations are like. Even though we had time to go to warteg," Michael said when contacted, Friday, 21 January.

Michael explained the reason his party asked Anies to come directly to the location of the electric car racing circuit. He said PSI doubted that the soil structure in the area could make a quality circuit for Formula E.

"Our hope is that Mr. Anies also visits the field to really know and explain to the public whether it is possible in four months from a muddy ground we can turn it into a world-class circuit for Formula E because the Mandalika circuit only took two years to build," explained Michael. It was previously known that Anies visited Giring Ganesha some time ago surveying the location of the Formula E circuit in Ancol and criticized that the area was not suitable.

Anies explained that currently the circuit has not been built. The DKI Provincial Government still has a few months before the implementation in June 2022. So, Anies wonders why there are parties who bother to review the location.

"It's a pity that the time is really loose. So, if we, who are a bit busy, don't have enough time to go around, we don't need to," said Anies as quoted from the Total Politics Youtube show entitled "Anies Baswedan Answers Leads on Formula E".
