Suspected Lampung Terrorist Arrested By Densus 88 Has Been Joining JI For 24 Years
JAKARTA - The National Police said that the suspected terrorist with the initials SU is a fairly senior member of the Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) network. He has joined the terrorist network for 24 years.
"He is a member of JI since 1997," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan to VOI, Monday, November 1.
SU is also noted to have held important positions in the LAZ BM ABA organization. However, Ramadhan did not elaborate further on the organization.
"He has served as Secretary of the Central LAZ BM ABA, and the Chairman of the West Korwil LAZ BM ABA," said Ramadhan.
"He has served as the Head of the Lampung BM ABA Branch, served as the Head of the central BM ABA from 2018 until now," he continued.

In addition, continued Ramadhan, SU is also active in JI group activities. He had held a meeting with senior JI.
"He attended several meetings of JI seniors both in Java and Sumatra to raise funds for the Jamaah Islamiyah Global Jihad Program," said Ramdhan.
Densus 88 Anti-terror arrested a suspected terrorist with the initials SU in Bagelen Village, Gedong Tataan District, Pesawaran, Lampung. The suspected terrorist is the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) network.
The arrest of the suspected terrorist took place on Sunday, October 31. Currently, the suspected terrorist is being investigated intensively.
