Duel Of A Driver And An Aide Of Central Lombok's Deputy Regent Ends Peacefully

PRAYA - The driver and aide to the deputy regent of Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, who were fighting at the Central Lombok Regent's Hall, finally agreed to make peace.

"It was mediated this afternoon at the second pavilion which was attended by the deputy regent, the Praya sub-district head, the head of the Praya Health Center, both parties and their families," said Praya Police Chief Insp. Hariono, Monday, November 1.

From the explanation of Nurdan (the driver), the incident began when Himawan (aide to the deputy regent) asked about the issue of the deposit, to which Nurdan answered, the deposit existed. However, at that time Nurdin was at sea fishing and he would give it to him after fishing.

So that when they returned home at around 23.30 central Indonesia time, when they met at the official house, a fight broke out between the two. The Satpol-PP officer who was on guard at the official residence briefly intervened, but both of them were equally emotional and fighting.

"As a result of the incident, the deputy regent's driver had bruises and cuts on his face. While the aide was injured in the hand. The cause of the commotion was just a miscommunication," he said.

When the fight broke out, the deputy regent of Central Lombok was asleep, so he didn't know. After the incident, the victim's family, who felt aggrieved, had reported the alleged abuse that was allegedly carried out by the deputy regent's aide at the Sector Police, however, the commotion case was resolved amicably.

"This case has been peaceful. If there is no agreement, of course, we will investigate it according to the rules," continued Insp. Hariono.

"We haven't been able to tell who hit the first one. From their confessions, they are accusing each other and have not been investigated further. This matter has been mediated and peaceful," he continued.
