UNS Student Death Case After Menwa Diksar, Police Immediately Name Suspect
SOLO - The Surakarta City Police Investigative Team, Central Java, immediately named a suspect in the death of Sebelas Maret University (UNS) student Gilang Endy Saputra (23), who attended the Student Regiment Basic Education (Menwa Diksar) at Jurug Jebres, Solo City.
"The case of the death of the UNS Menwa Diksar student is still in process and will soon be held to determine the suspect because there are things that need to be added regarding the fulfillment of evidence in Article 184 of the Criminal Code," said Director of General Criminal Investigation (Direskrimum) Central Java Police Grand Commissioner Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro, after carrying out assistance in the case of Diksar Menwa UNS, at the Surakarta Police, reported by Antara, Monday, November 1.
Direskrimum said that his party carried out assistance to the Surakarta Police regarding investigations that had been carried out professionally and there were no problems. The investigation is going well and in the future carry out the processes that must be carried out.
According to the Direskrimum, the case of the Diksar Menwa UNS student to date is related to the fulfillment of the evidence of Article 184 of the Criminal Code, such as witness statements, expert statements, letters, and instructions that already exist, but still need further investigation.
"This has previously been conveyed, there is a victim's post-mortem, but it still needs further investigation. What it is, of course, will examine experts related to the cause of death of the victim. That's all that is currently being carried out by Surakarta Police investigators," said Direskrimum.
Investigators have not yet determined the suspect, but it is suspected that there was a crime, after that whether the crime has anything to do with the victim. This must be proven by a visa and someone who can read to explain, namely an expert.
The police are examining experts regarding the results of the post-mortem, after which a case relating to the perpetrator, victim, and others will be decided later in a case title.
"An expert from the forensics who issues the post-mortem will be realized with a report as to what it says in the post-mortem, which will be explained later by the expert," he said.

"The evidence of the post-mortem must be strengthened by expert testimony. That it is related or not to the death of the victim," he said.
He said the police in handling this case remained proportional and did not abandon firmness. His party continues to carry out investigations professionally, transparently, and without leaving firmness. This means that fixed procedures (protap) are still being carried out, examinations, and so on are included as a form of assistance to find out the extent of the investigation process carried out by Surakarta Police investigators.
Previously, the Surakarta Police raised the status from investigation to investigation in the case of the death of UNS student Gilang Endy Saputra (23), who attended the Student Regiment Basic Education at Jurug Jebres, Solo City, Central Java, on Sunday, October 24.
According to the Surakarta Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Pol. Ade Safri Simanjuntak the case was upgraded to an investigation status after examining 26 witnesses from the incident. Those who were questioned consisted of lecturers, participants, and trainers from the Diksar Menwa UNS which was held from Saturday, October to Sunday, October 24.
