Immediately Hold National Work Meeting, PDIP Hasn't Talked About 2024 Presidential Candidates
JAKARTA - The PDI-P DPP (PDIP) held a national pre-meeting coordination meeting (rakernas). DPD PDIP leaders from across Indonesia were gathered at the PDIP DPP Party School building in Jakarta ahead of the National Working Meeting in early December.
Utut Adianto, a senior PDIP politician, said that during the National Working Meeting there would be no signal for discussions of presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
"As far as I know, there isn't one yet. The National Working Meeting only wants the concept, yesterday the pre-conference meeting was held, the concept was party consolidation. The DPC, PAC, branch to sub-branch were formed," said Utut at the DPR building, Monday, November 1.
However, the chairman of the PDIP faction in the DPR did not deny that the National Working Meeting would discuss the 2024 general election, including the legislative and presidential elections. Utut said that this matter had not yet been discussed internally by the party. It's just that according to the general chairman's direction, PDIP must win in the election. "We haven't talked about the conditions yet. But if people take part in the legislative election, the big concept is that the presidential election wants to win. All parties want to win, all parties want the presidential and vice-presidential candidates to strengthen electability," Utut said.

"You don't know that yet. If that's the case, you must be chairman," he said.
Meanwhile, questioning the declarations made by volunteers for Puan Maharani and Ganjar Pranowo, Utut emphasized that there had been no instructions for discussing the vice-presidential candidates from the PDIP general chairman.
"That's right, she has made instructions, August 11 not to talk about it," said Utut.
