COVID-19 Update As Of October 29: 683 New Cases, 681 Recovered

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 244.392 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 683 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4.243.215 and active cases are 12.414," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, October 29.

Today's recovered cases increased by 681 cases, bringing the total to 4.087.440 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 28 people and a total of 143.361 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 157 cases and a total of 705.587 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 96 new cases with a total of 861.331 cases. Central Java has 73 new cases and a total of 484.991 cases. Then, East Java has 54 new cases and a total of 398.130 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 88 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 85 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 61 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 58 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported no new cases today, namely Jambi. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 46.285.013.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.49 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 7.575 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, there are 117.689.114 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 72.061.077 of the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 1.121.925. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
