Duri Kepa Village Is Called To Have Debt To Cibodas Residents Rp264 Million

JAKARTA - Sandra Komala Dewi, a resident of Cibodas, Tangerang City, explained her reason for taking legal action in the case of borrowing money from Duri Kepa Village, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.

Duri Kepa Village did not pay the Rp264.5 million loan from Sandra after the promised deadline. Sandra admitted that he had asked the Kebon Jeruk District for help to bring him together with the village.

Because, based on Sandra's confession, Duri Kepa Marhali village head did not have the good faith to solve the problem. He said, Marhali did not want to admit the loan.

"I, in mid-August 2021, asked the Secretary of the Kebon Jeruk District, if it could be gathered, between the victims (borrowers) and the urban village, as well as the village head, sit together to find a solution," Sandra said when contacted, Friday, October 29.

At that time, the District Secretary admitted that he would help Sandra to find a family solution for this unpaid loan. However, so far this has not been realized.

"Sekcam will answer immediately. But until the end of August there is no news," he said.

With no results, Sandra decided to report the case to the police, having previously sent two subpoenas to the Duri Kepa village head and asked the sub-district for help.

"Finally on October 25 yesterday I decided to report it because there was no good faith. I have proof, my money went to the village," said Sandra. For information, a resident of Cibodas District, Tangerang City named Sandra Komala Dewi reported Lurah Duri Kepa, Marhali to the Tangerang City Metro Police on suspicion of fraud and embezzlement of money.

In this case, Kelurahan Duri Kepa borrowed money from Sandra amounting to Rp264.5 billion and has not been returned until now. Sandra did not accept that she finally reported to the police.

Initially, the treasurer of Duri Kepa Village, Devi Ambarsari contacted him, claiming that his village needed money to pay the RT/RW honorarium and village debts.

Then in May and June 2021, Sandra sent money to the accounts of the RT/RW, as well as the accounts of Duri Kepa Village in stages with a total of Rp264.5 million.

In the agreement, every refund paid by Duri Kepa Village will be added a fee of 10 percent of the nominal money deposited.

However, so far this debt has not been repaid. Finally, on October 25, 2021, Sandra reported Lurah Duri Kepa Marhali on suspicion of fraud and embezzlement of money.

Responding, Duri Village Head Kepa Marhali denied that he borrowed money from residents for the purpose of paying RT/RW honorariums and urban village debt. Marhali confirmed that the loan to Sandra was a personal loan from the Duri Kepa Village treasurer, Devi.

"That's a personal loan from the treasurer on behalf of the kelurahan. Regarding the loan letter using the kelurahan letterhead, it was done without my knowledge," said Marhali.
