JAKARTA - The Lampung Provincial Health Office (Dinkes) recorded a new addition of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the region. The number is 'only' 14 people, but it is appropriate to be aware of.
"There are 14 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 49,555 cases," said Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Reihana, in a written statement in Bandarlampung, Thursday, October 28.
He said previously the total positive cases of COVID-19 in the area were 49,541 cases and currently there are 49,555 positive cases of COVID-19.
"The additions come from eight regencies and cities, in detail in Bandarlampung City there are four people, Pringsewu Regency one person, Central Lampung one person," he said as quoted by Antara.
He continued, there were also three additional people in East Lampung Regency, one person in West Lampung, two people in South Lampung, one person for Mesuji, and one person for Tanggamus.
"Furthermore, there are also a number of areas that now have zero cases of COVID-19 in Lampung, such as Pesisir Barat Regency, Tulang Bawang Barat, Tulang Bawang, Waykanan, North Lampung, Pesawaran and Metro City," he said.
According to him, for cases of death due to COVID-19 on Thursday (28/10), there were no additional cases, while for recovered cases, 19 people increased.
"Then for suspect cases, three more people are being monitored and 65 others are being monitored. So that currently there are a total of 68 suspect cases," he said.
Previously, President Joko Widodo had warned regional heads to be careful and be aware of the slightest increase in COVID-19 cases in his region. Jokowi said that a number of regions in Indonesia had experienced an increase in cases of the corona virus, although the numbers were small.
Starting from North Maluku, which experienced an increase in cases three weeks ago. Then, the increase in cases also occurred in West Papua, West Sulawesi, and North Sulawesi two weeks ago. Then, Gorontalo, West Kalimantan, and Southeast Sulawesi experienced spikes last week.
