CASN Selection In Buol, Central Sulawesi Cheats, DPR Asks For Process And Heavy Sanctions

JAKARTA - Commission II of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia highlighted the alleged fraud in the selection of State Civil Apparatus Candidates (CASN). Previously, there were indications of fraud using remote access mode in the CASN selection in Buol, Central Sulawesi (Sulteng). Commission II member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia, the PAN faction, Guspardi Gaus, asked the authorities to immediately investigate this case. According to him, the findings must be processed according to applicable law.

"An investigation must be carried out on the CPNS test information system in all agencies in each region that carries out the CASN test," said Guspardi, to reporters, Thursday, October 28. Then, he continued, an in-depth investigation should also be carried out into this alleged fraud. "This is important to do to restore public confidence in the system and mechanism for the selection of ASN candidates. The parties involved in cheating ASN selection will be severely punished," he continued. This PAN politician also asked elements of the public to pay attention to the frauds that occurred, such as what happened in the CASN test.

"People who have told about the fraud that occurred should be rewarded, because they dared to reveal evil conspiracies and fraud like what happened in Buol," said the legislator from West Sumatra.

Guspardi emphasized that there were indications of fraudulent practices in the implementation of the CASN SKD in Buol Regency which were carried out by unscrupulous individuals who clearly damaged the National CASN selection system. Therefore, he asked for strict sanctions in the form of disqualification to participants who were proven to be cheating. "For those involved, they are sentenced to severe punishment, both administrative sanctions must also be processed according to the applicable laws and regulations," concluded the Member of the Legislative Council of the Republic of Indonesia. Previously, the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Tjahjo Kumolo would fire the state civil apparatus (ASN ) who was proven to be fraudulent in the selection of candidates for the 2021 state civil apparatus at the independent location (tilok) point of the Buol Regency Government.

"Take firm action if it is proven that there are ASN involved in it, and the ASN involved must be fired," said Tjahjo Kumolo in a written statement on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

Tjahjo said that as an assistant to the president, he has the obligation to uphold the president's vision and mission, especially related to bureaucratic reform, and to build the spirit of integrity in the souls of ASN.

In addition, Tjahjo also found that fraud had occurred in other locations. "Seeing suspicions of fraud being carried out in an organized manner, not by one or two people, but could be more," he said.

Based on the findings of the report provided by Tjahjo, in addition to Tilok Mandiri, the Buol Regency Government, fraud also occurred in Tilok Mandiro, the Enrekang Regency Government; Tilok Mandiri Cost-Sharing Mandiri Mamuju Regency, Pasang Kayu Regency, South Sulawesi; Tilok Mandiri BKN Lampung; Tilok Mandiri Mamasa Regency Government; Tilok Mandiri Sidenreng Rappang Regency Government; Tilok Mandiri Luwu Regency Government; Tilok Mandiri South Buton Regency Government; Tilok Mandiri Ministry of Law and Human Rights, South Sulawesi.

Tjahjo said the State Personnel Agency (BKN) and the Selection Committee had carried out a trail and forensic audit with machine learning to identify fraudulent participants.

"And it is necessary to disqualify 225 participants who are suspected of cheating," said Tjahjo Kumolo. Later, the disqualification will be immediately conveyed to each agency.
