Kemendikbudristek: Don't Leave BOS Money Left At The End Of The Year

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology stated that BOS recipient schools in 2021 must spend the allocation of funds at the end of the year because it will have an impact on the allocation of the following year.

Secretary to the Director General of Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Sutanto in Semarang, Wednesday, said this was in accordance with Minister of Finance Regulation No. 197 of 2021.

"There should not be any remaining BOS money at the end of the year. The remaining BOS budget will be calculated with the next year's budget," he said when he was a speaker at a BOS management workshop in face-to-face learning.

Therefore, he asked the BOS recipient schools to make optimal use of the funds.

According to him, the BOS allocation could be completely absorbed because the school had previously prepared an activity plan and school budget.

"For example, this year we can allocate Rp200 million, but it turns out that at the end of the year there is still Rp20 million. Next year we won't get another Rp200 million, but Rp180 million because the absorption capacity is assessed at that size," he said.

Since 2020, he continued, the distribution of BOS funds has been directly to the accounts of each school.

This year's BOS allocation, he said, reached Rp52.5 trillion, of which the highest allocation was for SD which reached Rp23 trillion.

He ensured that all schools were entitled to receive BOS funds.

"Just understand the rules, the regulations of the Minister of Finance, the regulations of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, and the regulations of the Minister of Home Affairs," he said.
