Sukmawati Uploads Photo Of Sudi Wadani Ceremony, Menur Sincerely Her Mother Converts To Hinduism
JAKARTA - After completing the Sudi Wadani ceremony, the process of returning to the ancestral belief has been completed by Sukmawati Soekarnoputri. Since October 26, Sukmawati has officially embraced Hinduism.
"Sudi Wadani's ceremony at Bale Agung, Singaraja was blessed by Ida Pandita Mpu Nabe. Second reborn today, October 26, 2021, my birthday", wrote Sukmawati on her Instagram account, Tuesday, October 26.
As her daughter, GRA Agung Putri Suniwati or known as Menur, admitted that she had known about her mother's conversion plan two months ago.
"Two months ago, at that time, I meant by WhatsApp as well as by phone. Mamah told me that I was going to change my faith. That's Hinduism", she said during a conversation with VOI, Tuesday, October 26.
Menur admitted that he was a bit surprised by her mother's notification. But she didn't stop. "I was a bit surprised. I was surprised, in a sense, Mom was sure that she meant to change religion? Is it fixed or sure? But she said yes, it was solid, sure.

Sukmawati, she continued, did not provide a specific explanation. "At that time, when you told me to change your belief, that's all, just let me know, that you are comfortable, it's been a long time, rest assured, that's it. Not asking whether you agree or disagree, maybe asking for opinions, maybe Paundra too", she explained.
As a child, Menur was sincere with Sukmawati's decision. "There's no problem, basically it's okay because for me it's the belief of each individual, the right of every human being. Because belief is a principle. And you can't force it either", she said.
