Vice President Ma'ruf Amin To Public Bodies: Respond To Criticisms Politely, According To Provisions And Customs
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin asked all institutions related to the state administration to be open to criticism, suggestions, and input from the public.
"All public bodies must also be open to criticism, suggestions, and input from the public. Respond to criticism with courtesy, kindness, ethics, and norms, according to the provisions and customs that apply in a democratic country," said the Vice President at the 2021 Public Information Openness Award event through video conference, reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 26.
The vice president said that all public bodies must also encourage the spirit of information transparency and accountability.
"It aims to build public trust and support in strengthening the spirit of a democratic state and nation," he added.
With the development of information and communication technology, the Vice President encourages all public bodies to be able to transform into the digital era more quickly and massively.
"Utilization of cloud computing technology, social media, mobile technology has become part of everyday life for the information society," he said.

Therefore, ministries and non-ministerial government agencies (K/L), as well as local governments, are expected to take advantage of these technological development opportunities to realize effective and transparent government governance.
"This should be used as an opportunity for public and government agencies to disseminate cleaner, more effective, transparent, and accountable government governance, as well as public services that are more qualified and reliable," he said.
