Fadjroel Rachman Becomes Ambassador Of Kazakhstan, Fahri Hamzah Suggests Pramono Anung To Be The Spokesperson For The President
JAKARTA - The position of Presidential Spokesman is vacant after Fadjroel Rachman was inaugurated as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia (LBBP) to Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan. President Jokowi was asked to immediately appoint a replacement for Fadjroel.
Deputy Chairperson of the Gelora Party, Fahri Hamzah, assessed that the presidential spokesman must be able to disseminate the government's ideas.
"Don't put low-key figures either, they have to be really solid. So that the President can be helped in disseminating the government's ideas", said Fahri Hamzah, Monday, October 25.
The former deputy chairman of the House of Representatives suggested that Cabinet Secretary, Pramono Anung, be appointed as a replacement for Fadjroel Rachman.

The reason, he said, was so that the presidential spokesman had access and could attend cabinet meetings and then convey what was in the meeting to the public.
"I hope that the Minister of Cabinet Secretary and Spokesperson will be the spokesman", said Fahri.
Fahri Hamzah also asked President Jokowi to imitate the presidential spokesman system from the United States. Where, said Fahri, the position of spokesman was made at the ministerial level.
"The spokesman must be present at the cabinet meeting. That's why in the United States the spokesman is at the ministerial level, the Press Secretary, right. That should be the case", concluded Fahri Hamzah.
