PDIP: Jokowi Is A Breaker Who Dares To Take Risks, SBY Is A Thinker Who Often Hesitates

JAKARTA - Senior PDIP politician Hendrawan Supratikno, asked the public not to compare the leadership of the sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) with President Joko Widodo. According to him, every president has their own leadership style.

"Each leader has different characteristics and styles," said Hendrawan, Sunday, October 24.

The member of the PDIP faction in the DPR then explained that President Jokowi, who has a business background, often considers the benefits and drawbacks in making decisions for the country.

"Pak Jokowi is more of a battering ram. If the cost-benefit aspect has been calculated, he dares to take risks," he said.

Meanwhile, SBY, who has a military background, said Hendrawan, was too concerned about what he would issue for the state. So according to him, there are many doubts about taking a policy.

"SBY is known to be very careful and more prominent as a thinker. It is suspected that he is often hesitant to make breakthroughs, so that ideological opponents are nurtured and given room to grow," said the member of Commission XI of the DPR. It is known that this comparison event began when the Secretary General (Secretary General) PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto and Deputy Bappilu DPP Democratic Party Kamhar Lakumani quipped about the leadership of Jokowi and SBY. Hasto defended President Joko Widodo about the accusation that he held more meetings than the era of President Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono. How Jokowi's leadership actually produces strategic decisions whose impact can be felt by the community," he told reporters at the PDIP Perjuangan DPP office, Central Jakarta, Saturday, October 23. Jokowi and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

According to Hasto, an academic study is needed so that later the performance comparison between SBY and Jokowi will be objective and not just claim each other.

"Actually, the most objective thing is to do an academic study, using a mix method," he explained.

From a quantitative perspective, according to him, this can be done by comparing the infrastructure development that took place in the two presidential leaderships.

"How about the number of bridges that have been built between Pak SBY and Pak Jokowi in the past 10 years. The number of ports, toll roads, agricultural lands for the people, dams for the people, can be done with objective research," he said.
