Attended By Dozens Of Members From The TNI, Polri And Satpol PP, The Ahmadiyah Mosque Sawangan Depok Is Again Sealed

DEPOK - Depok Satpol PP assisted by TNI - Polri replaced the damaged seal at Al Hidayah Mosque, Ahmadiyah congregation mosque on Jalan Raya Muchtar, Sawangan Baru Village, Sawangan District, Depok City.

The Head of Depok City Police Headquarters, Lienda Ratnanurdianny, said that his members together with the Depok Metro Police carried out security for the installation of the new seal which had previously been damaged.

"The cause of the damage is unknown, but what is clear today is that we are asking for police assistance to help secure the members by replacing the damaged seal board at the location where the Ahmadiyah congregation is," Lienda told reporters, Friday, October 22.

Head of Operations Section (Head of Ops) of Depok Metro Police AKBP Ojo Ruslani said his party had deployed 87 joint personnel from Pol PP, Police, and TNI.

"In the sealing carried out by Pol PP officers at the location of the mosque where the Ahmadiyah congregation had a mass of local residents rejecting the existence of the Ahmadiyah, but it can be handled and the seal installation is running safely," explained Ojo when confirmed.

Previously, the mosque was sealed by the Satpol PP on February 23, 2017. The sealing was carried out after it was decided that the activities of the Ahmadiyah congregation violated the Joint Decree (SKB) of 3 Ministers.

"The reason for the sealing of the Ahmadiyah mosque is suspected to be a broken seal. Meanwhile, a number of residents have reported to the Depok City Government regarding the alleged activity at the mosque. So far, it has been directly to the City Government. Residents have reported it to the City Government. ." Sawangan Police Chief AKP M. Meltha Mubarak explained.
