Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo Disciplinary Case Will Be Tried Immediately, Crime Still In Process
JAKARTA - The alleged disciplinary violation case, Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo, will be tried immediately. However, the criminal case related to the issuance of Djoko Tjandra's fugitive pass is still being processed.
"The initial results of the investigation on BJP PU (Prasetyo Utomo) in Propam have been completed. However, it is still in the process for a disciplinary hearing, ”said Head of Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of the National Police's Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono at the Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday, July 27.
For criminal cases, a team of investigators called Awi investigated the alleged involvement of Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo in connection with the removal of red notice Djoko Tjandra, a fugitive in the case of transfer of rights to collect debts from Bank Bali.
"Regarding the clarification, of course it is still waiting because the investigation is still in progress to what extent the development of BJP PU is involved with the pass and issuance of red notice," said Awi.
Previously, Bareskrim Polri issued a Notification Letter for the Commencement of Investigation (SPDP) related to the issuance of a pass in the name of Djoko Tjandra. The letter issued by Brigadier General Prasetyo numbered: SJ / 82 / VI / 2020 / Rokorwas, on June 18, 2020, said that Djoko Tjandra left for Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Djoko Tjandra departed from Jakarta on June 19 and returned on June 22.
Regarding this case, Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo was removed from the post of Head of the Coordination and Supervision Bureau of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency.
