Military District Command Coordination To Wamena Road Hall Regarding Bridge Destruction By Yalimo Papuans
WAMENA - The Military District Command (Kodim) 1702 Jayawijaya is building coordination with the Wamena Road Office regarding the Kilometer 97 bridge that was damaged by residents in Yalimo Regency, Papua.
Military District Commander 1702 Jayawijaya, Lt. Col. Inf. Arif Budi Situmeang said the bridge at Kilometer 97 in Puncak Sahayu really needs to be repaired.
"We received information that some of them can be passed in an emergency, only that they need repairs. We from the Kodim have already communicated with the Wamena Road Hall so that we will meet", he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 22.
The Military District Commander said that after the meeting was held, only the repair of the bridge was carried out.
"Do we immediately make repairs or check for all kinds of material shortages, then we will make repairs", he said.

Military District Commander said road access to Yalimo must be open because a re-voting (PSU) for the regent and deputy regent is scheduled for December 17, 2021.
"We just don't know if there has been a resignation from the organizers. What is certain is that at any time from the TNI/Polri we are ready to secure it because this is an Inkracht mandate (criminal decisions that have permanent legal force), so we can't appeal it", he said.
Previously, information circulated on social media of residents suspected of being supporters of one of the pairs of candidates for regent and deputy, damaging the bridge so that vehicles going there or vice versa could not pass.
