TNI Commander Visits Timika, Reminds Soldiers Their Duty Is Not Finished Yet
TIMIKA - National Armed Force (TNI) Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo visited Timika, Papua to encourage the soldiers and remind them that the task has not been completed even though the XX National Sports Week (PON) has ended.
The TNI commander, while giving a briefing at the Headquarters of the 20th Raider Infantry Brigade/Ima Jaya Keramo, asked TNI soldiers and members of the National Police to continue to work professionally and to uphold the Sapta Marga and the Soldier's Oath.
"I am proud of the TNI and National Police (Polri) soldiers, the task is not finished yet. There are still many tasks that must be carried out," said the TNI Commander, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 22.
"I want to remind all of us not to forget unity and integrity, because unity and integrity are the key. Unity and unity are the main capital to maintain a country," said the TNI Commander, who was then greeted by applause from Brigif Raider 20/IJK soldiers and other members of the armed forces.
The Commander reminded again that TNI soldiers carried out a noble task.
"Assignments in remote areas. Outermost islands along the coastline, in villages, in villages, dealing with terrorists to caring for people exposed to COVID-19 in isoters (centralized isolation, ed.) prepared by TNI and Polri," said Hadi Tjahjanto.
The duty of the soldiers, continued the TNI Commander, is also to teach children and provide health services, especially for people at the border.
"It's all on your shoulders, TNI and Polri soldiers," said the TNI Commander who was then greeted by cheers from the soldiers.

The TNI Commander and the National Police Chief departed on the same plane from Makassar, South Sulawesi, and landed at Yohanis Kapiyau Air Base, Timika.
Arriving at the Air Force Base, the TNI Commander, the National Police Chief, and a group of officials immediately drove to the Brigif R 20/IJK Headquarters.
The arrival of the entourage of the TNI Commander and National Police Chief at the Brigif R 20/IJK Headquarters was greeted by shouts and loud applause from soldiers who lined the road from the entrance to the main building.
Before giving directions to TNI soldiers and members of the National Police, the Commander and Chief of Police took the time to plant matoa trees in the courtyard of the main building of the Brigif R 20/IJK Headquarters.
