COVID-19 Update as of October 19: 903 New Cases, 4.236.287 Accumulated Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 260.343 specimens were examined with the result that there were 903 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4.236.287 people and 16.697 active cases," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, October 19.
Today's recovered cases increased by 1.530 cases, bringing the total to 4.076.541 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 50 people and a total of 143.049 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 106 cases and a total of 860.358 cases. Followed by West Java with 105 new cases with a total of 704.642 cases. Central Java with 99 new cases and a total of 484.110 cases. Then, East Java with 95 new cases and a total of 397.481 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 264 recovered cases. Followed by South Sulawesi with an increase of 135 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 122 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 114 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported no new cases today, namely Maluku. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 43.863.159.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.58 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 6.074 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, there are 109.005.627 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 64.008.898 people have received the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 1.078.155. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people
