Vice President Ma'ruf Amin Praises For Papua: Not Only Rich, But Full Of Talent
JAYAPURA - Indonesian Vice President, Ma'ruf Amin, said Papua is not only rich but also full of talented human resources (HR) related to the successful implementation of the XX National Sports Week (PON).
"This shows that Papua has become the power of the elite of the national sport. This is proof that Earth Papua is not only rich but full of talent", said Vice President Ma'ruf Amin at the closing of XX PON at the Lukas Enembe Stadium in Jayapura, Papua, Friday.
The talents of the Papuan people, one of which is in the XX PON event, will be the key to the progress and prosperity of the Land of Papua.
"This talent will bring progress and prosperity to Papua", he said.
Thus, said the Vice President, the wealth of natural resources in Papua will provide the greatest benefit to the Papuan people, including the indigenous Papuans themselves.
Therefore, the Vice President invites all people in various circles in Papua to work hard in maintaining the existing potential so that the acceleration of development can be realized immediately.
"We must continue to work hard so that Papuan talents grow and thrive in all aspects, to accelerate the development of welfare in the Land of Papua", he said.

On that occasion, the Vice President also congratulated the Papuan contingent on winning the XX PON medal. As the host, the Papuan contingent was ranked fourth by winning 93 gold medals, 66 silver medals, and 102 bronze medals.
"In addition to the success of the XX PON, I would like to congratulate the Papuan team for the fourth place, which previously was only in eighth place at the 2016 PON", said the Vice President.
