Instagram Brings Live Schedule Features Similar To YouTube, Here's How To Use It!

JAKARTA - Instagram is reportedly bringing the YouTube feature to its social media. The new feature, dubbed Live Scheduling, allows users to schedule live streams, and notify their followers when events will take place.

This one feature is quite expected by users, so they can prepare the material in advance before starting their live streaming event. In addition, users can also schedule it up to 90 days in advance.

Followers will also be notified of the live stream the day before if they tap Remember Me, as well as 15 minutes before it starts on the day of the premiere, as quoted by Slashgear, Friday, October 15.

To schedule an Instagram Live, open the app and swipe left to open the camera, then select Live. Then select Schedule click set the name of the event and set the date and time. The content creator must then share it in the usual image or upload format.

That way, followers will know what events were created and descriptions of related events. This feature will help many content creators as they can now promote their upcoming events.

In addition to the Live Scheduling feature, Instagram is also planning to launch a Practice Mode feature. The feature allows users to connect with followers before a live show so they can check the appropriateness of the audio, outfits, lighting, and more to make sure the live stream is running flawlessly.

The Facebook-owned social media platform believes the feature will help content discovery and distribution. Earlier in June, TikTok also launched a similar set of tools that includes the ability to schedule TikTok Live videos.

To note, YouTube has also had a similar feature for a long time, where content creators who have more than 1,000 followers can use the live streaming feature and schedule it. Interestingly, content creators are not given a time limit or unlimited to host live streaming.
