The Last Day Of The Papua PON Athletics Competition For 6 Gold
JAKARTA - The tenth or final day of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) athletic competition, Thursday, will compete for six gold medals.
Based on data compiled by Antara, the six gold medals were contested in the final events of the men's high jump, women's shot put, 3,000 meters of men's hurdles, 3,000 meters of women's hurdles, 4x400 meters of men's relay, and 4x400 meters of women's relay.
The men's high jump number will be participated by eight athletes, including North Sumatran athlete Shafwan Hafidz, host athlete Edgar Davidson Weyai, and national record holder from DKI Jakarta Rizky Gushafa.
Meanwhile, in the women's shot put, West Java athletes, PON and national record holders, Eki Pebri Ekawati, Lampung athletes Adinda Karina Raihana, and West Nusa Tenggara representative Ni Putu Yogiswari, will compete.
A total of 12 athletes will compete in the 3,000 meter men's obstacle course, including the national record holder representing East Java Atjong Tio Purwanto, West Java athlete Pandu Sukarya, and Elisar Gamasi (Riau).
Meanwhile, in the 3,000 meter women's obstacle course, 11 athletes will compete, including East Java athlete Yulianingsih, Marina (Bangka Belitung), and West Nusa Tenggara athlete Dian Ekayanti.
On the last day of athletics, the women's and men's 4,000 meters relay finals were also contested. The women's number will be followed by teams from Central Java, Papua, East Java, West Java, and East Nusa Tenggara. While the male numbers are Maluku, Papua, Central Java, East Java, West Nusa Tenggara, and West Java.
