Commemorating Braless Day, These Are The Benefits Of Not Using A Bra For Breast Health
JAKARTA - Every October 13, women around the world commemorate Braless Day or better known as Braless Day. The goal is to form public awareness of breast cancer as a chronic disease with a high mortality rate.
To commemorate Braless Day, VOI summarizes from Asweatlife, Wednesday, October 13, here are three benefits of not wearing a bra for breast health.
Breast skin becomes healthierWearing a bra regularly can trap dirt and sweat on the skin of the breasts, causing clogged pores and irritation, especially under the breasts. It is more common in women with large breasts. However, irritation can also occur in those of you who do not change your bra after exercising.
By not wearing a bra, you allow your skin to breathe better and avoid potential irritants that can clog pores.
Better circulationWearing a bra for hours on end can make your chest feel cramped, tight, and uncomfortable. Wearing a bra can actually reduce blood flow to the back and chest muscles, causing aches and pains around the back and chest. You can create better blood circulation to your upper body if you don't wear a bra.
Increase breast muscle and shapeOne of the biggest reasons many women are reluctant to leave a bra is because they are afraid that their breasts will sag.
Lisa Reynolds, co-founder of The Harley Street Skin Clinic, says, “Not wearing a bra greatly enhances a woman's breasts. Long-term results from not wearing a bra have shown that more muscle tissue develops to provide natural protection. This is because the body needs to use the chest muscles to fight friction to tighten the breast tissue,” explains Lisa.
So, if you're afraid that your breasts will sag because you're not wearing a bra, it's the other way around! Wearing a bra can actually strengthen the chest muscles to help support the breasts and improve the shape of the breasts.
