Despite Hanging On The DPRD, PDIP Strongly Continues Interpellation Of Anies Baswedan In Formula E

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Gembong Warsono, admitted that currently the process of proposing the right to interpellation is still pending. This is because the plenary meeting to determine the final interpellation had to be postponed because it did not meet the quorum.

"If you ask how it will go on, yes, it's hanging. Because the status of the plenary interpellation at that time was postponed," said Gembong when contacted, Wednesday, October 13.

Nevertheless, Gembong emphasized that the party faction led by Megawati Soekarnoputri would continue to strive for the realization of Formula E's interpellation rights.

Although, the leaders of seven factions other than PDIP and PSI have made it clear that they reject the process of asking the DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan the right to ask questions.

"The interpellation is not over," said Gembong.

Regarding the rejection, Gembong viewed the attitude of Gerindra, PKS, PAN, Nasdem, Democrats, Golkar, and PPP-PKB which stated that they did not want an interpellation to be unethical because it was not conveyed in the official forum at the plenary session.

That is why, PDIP continues to strive for the DPRD to hold a plenary session again, although the right of interpellation may not necessarily be realized.

"Later, we will try to encourage the leadership to reschedule the plenary session. To end the interpellation in the plenary, not at the coffee shop. Please submit the refusal at the plenary. The room is there," said Gembong.

"Even if seven factions refuse, it's as if they just died. That's what the seven factions perceive. It's as if we insist on not knowing ourselves. Even though we must obey the rules, in the sense that the interpellation procedure has met the requirements through the rules and regulations. , whose follow-up is in the plenary," he continued.

Some time ago, shortly after PDIP and PSI submitted an interpellation proposal to the chairman of the DKI DPRD, the two parties took a guerilla lobby for members of other factions to join the plenary meeting.

The lobbying continues. In fact, in mid-September, Gembong admitted that PDIP received a positive response from members of another faction who were not named.

Until finally, the plenary meeting to determine the interpellation was held on September 28, 2021. In fact, there were only 32 DPRD members present, namely 25 members of the PDIP faction and 7 members of the PSI faction.

Unfortunately, the lobbying was fruitless, so the plenary meeting did not reach a quorum of 50 percent + 1 member attendance. The plenary meeting was finally postponed and will be rescheduled at a meeting of the Deliberative Body (Bamus).
