Surabaya City Government And SRC Launch Sinau Grocery Program

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Government collaborated with Sampoerna Retail Community (SRC) to launch Sinau Kelontong Surabaya (SKS) which is a grocery store development program.

"So, God willing, all grocery stores in Surabaya will be taught to increase sales. We are collaborating with PT SRCIS to provide assistance to grocery stores, because after all this technological advancement is very influential on sales," said Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi at the launch of SKS, quoted by Antara. , Tuesday, October 12.

SRC is a Today's Grocery Store which is part of the PT SRC Indonesia Sembilan (SRCIS) partnership program.

The launch of the program was carried out directly by the Mayor of Surabaya, Eri Cahyadi, together with the Director of SRCIS, Rima Tanago. Present at the launch were the Surabaya City Government, PT SRCIS and also a number of grocery store entrepreneurs in Surabaya.

Mayor Eri realized that it was the Surabaya City Government that had the obligation to run the economy through grocery stores. However, he is also aware that the Surabaya City Government cannot walk alone, because there are limitations.

Therefore, this collaboration with PT SRCIS is carried out to improve the quality of all grocery stores in the city of Surabaya.

According to Eri, if later the grocery store was educated and organized neatly, they would be even better than now. In fact, he hopes that in the future, grocery stores in Surabaya can become a convenient place for residents of Surabaya to shop.

Moreover, he continued, in the future starting from the mayor to all staff at the Surabaya City Government, they will have to shop for their daily needs at Surabaya grocery stores.

Currently, he said, in the Surabaya City Government there are around 15 thousand ASN, and if every ASN spends an average of Rp. 2 million in a month, it is estimated that around Rp. 30 billion of money will circulate in Surabaya grocery stores every month.

"So, we will synergize this SRC with the e-peken that we have created. This is not a competition, but we are synergizing to foster and improve the MSMEs of the City of Surabaya. So, if there are grocery stores that are still not registered or not registered, please register through the e-peken application and report to the lurah and sub-district to be included in our data," he said.

Meanwhile, Director of SRCIS Rima Tanago said the Sinau Kelontong Surabaya (SKS) program is a sustainable grocery store development program, so that in the midst of developments like this, they can survive and even progress.

"So, we see that there is a common vision and mission to advance grocery stores, so we collaborate through this SKS program," said Rima.

In Surabaya, according to him, there are around 1,530 grocery stores that cooperate with SRCIS. In the future, he ensures that there will be educational classes that will target 12 sub-districts in the city of Surabaya.

"Meanwhile, we will walk first in 12 sub-districts in Surabaya. We will educate starting from the arrangement of the store so that it is neat, clean, bright and so that consumers feel comfortable shopping," he said.

In fact, in the future there will also be education about digitization, such as shopping with applications, providing promotions for consumers and various other educations. Meanwhile, the classes will be available online or seen in the field.
