Patuh Jaya Operation 2020, Optimized Electronic Ticketing

JAKARTA - Operation Patuh Jaya 2020 will be held with a patrol system. This system is claimed to be more efficient in reducing the number of traffic violators during the COVID-19 pandemic. Even so, the electronic ticketing system or ETLE is still implemented. In fact, this system will be optimized for tasks.

Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate Director Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said the ETLE suppression system will facilitate prosecution at several points. Because, this action system can reduce the potential for transmission or spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

"ETLE is to avoid interactions between officers and the community, thereby minimizing the occurrence of transmission from the community to officers or vice versa," Sambodo said at Polda Metro Jaya, Thursday, July 23.

Apart from the ETLE, the security forces will also conduct patrols to avoid crowds. So far, the implementation of the Patuh Jaya Operation which has been carried out at certain points for a long time has created crowds and the potential for COVID-19 transmission.

Therefore, for Operation Patuh Jaya 2020, the authorities will patrol to locations that are prone to violations. The location has been previously mapped by Polda Metro Jaya. One example is in the Pasar Rumput area, South Jakarta.

"Especially at points where we have analyzed that there are frequent violations. For example, yesterday there was a TransJakarta line violation at Pasar Rumput. Because we know that at that point we are taking action (taking action) there, taking 1 to 2 hours of action. then we look for another point, "said Sambodo.

Although he did not explain in detail the locations that had been mapped, Sambodo confirmed that the prosecution would be carried out in all jurisdictions of Polda Metro Jaya.

"Even the members on the street who are currently making arrangements at the post can then do a ticketing, that's part of Operation Patuh Jaya," concluded Sambodo.

Operation obedient Jaya will be held for 2 weeks from 23 July to 5 August. In addition, there were dozens of violations that became the priority for prosecution in the operation. Some of them go against the current, use cell phones while driving, and cross the TransJakarta route.

Around 1,807 joint personnel from the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP and Transportation Service will be deployed to carry out the prosecution. The purpose of carrying out this operation is not only to reduce the number of violations, but also to increase public awareness of the dangers of COVID-19 by continuing to use personal protective equipment (PPE) while driving.
