Her Son, Who Is A Basketball Player, Is Injured But Has Little Paid Insurance Claims, Wanda Hamidah: I Used Prudential For Almost 12 Years And I Regret It
JAKARTA - A public figure, model as well as a politician, Wanda Hamidah expressed her disappointment with Prudential Indonesia. She admitted that she regretted using the services of the UK-based insurance company, because of problems with bills at the hospital when filing a claim.
"I regret using Prudential insurance," Wanda wrote, quoted from her personal Instagram account @wanda_hamidah, Monday, October 11.
Initially, Wanda said that she had used Prudential insurance since 2009 with her three children with a premium payment of Rp500 thousand per month. Then, when her family members grew by one, she also increased the insurance cover to 5 people.
Then, Wanda admitted that she had increased her premium contribution and increased the benefits from red cards to black cards in 2020. The premiums paid also increased to Rp750 thousand and Rp1 million, which differed between family members.
Furthermore, Wanda also emphasized that she had not used the insurance for many years. She also planned to use it because one of her children, who is a basketball athlete, was injured and had to undergo surgery.
"We have used @id_prudential insurance for almost 12 years. Until last Sunday, my son, who is a basketball athlete, had to have knee surgery because he has been injured for two years and is not allowed to exercise (for an athlete this is a heavy blow)," she said.
Because she has Prudential insurance coverage, Wanda decided to take her son to the operating table according to the doctor's advice. The operation is estimated to cost around Rp50 million to Rp60 million.

"Do you know how much @id_prudential wants to cover? It's only Rp10 million, brothers and sisters. If only Rp10 million is covered, there's no need for insurance. Huhuhu. I feel like I've been scammed! I was totally cheated. Sad and hurt mixed into one," said Wanda.
Because of this incident, Wanda also questioned whether all insurance was just sweet in the beginning but in reality, it did not match what was offered. She also claimed to be closing all her insurance.
"Is all insurance like this? It's sweet when you just offer it. I feel like closing down all my insurance (I think I'll close all insurance policies)," she continued.
