PON Papua Athletics Schedule Today: Fight For 6 Gold Medals

JAKARTA - The seventh day of athletics at the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) will compete for six gold medals.

Based on data compiled by Antara, Monday morning, the six gold medals will be contested in the final events in the men's pole vault, women's javelin, women's 1,500 meters, men's 1,500 meters, women's 200 meters and 200 meters for men.

Seven athletes will participate in the men's pole vault final, including East Java athlete Teuku Tegar Abadi, West Java athlete Alif M. Baskar, and Jakarta athlete who won gold medal at the 2019 National Athletics Championships Frederick Saputra.

Central Java's national record holder Atina Nur Kamil Intan will compete in the women's javelin throwing final with six other athletes, including Sri Astuti representing North Sumatra and Fina Firliana Yuni from West Java.

The women's 1,500 final will be followed by eight athletes, including the North Sumatran national athlete who won the 2019 Philippine SEA Games silver medal, Agustina Mardika.

While in the men's 1,500 meters final, 12 runners will compete, including Bangka Belitung athlete Robi Sianturi, DKI Jakarta athlete Bilal Bilano, and host runner Lukas Andry Kore.

National runner Lalu Mohammad Zohri will compete in the men's 200m final along with seven other athletes, including Bali athlete I Dewa Made Mudiyasa and Gorontalo athlete Izrak Udjulu.

Meanwhile, Maluku's national record holder Alvin Tehupeiory will compete in the women's 200 meters with seven other athletes, including Bengkulu Hasruni, South Sumatran Sri Mayasari, and DKI Jakarta athlete Jeany Nuraini.
