PPP: General Andika Perkasa Can Practice Practical Politics After Retiring In 2022 Ahead Of The 2024 Presidential Election
JAKARTA - The name of Army Chief of Staff, General TNI Andika Perkasa, appeared in the survey results of Saiful Mujani Research and Consulting (SMRC) regarding the 2024 presidential candidate. Andika was in 13th place with 1.0 percent of the vote.
Responding to this, the Chairperson of the PPP Central Board, Syaifullah Tamliha, said Andika Perkasa could practice politics ahead of the 2024 presidential election. If his retirement period had expired at the end of 2022.
"General TNI Andika Perkasa will retire in December 2022, so that he can freely engage in practical politics is facing the presidential election, which God willing, will be held in 2024", Tamliha told reporters, Friday, October 8.
