JCI On Wednesday Closed Slightly Lower By 0.09 Percent To 5,110.19 Levels

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed lower on Wednesday, July 22 trading. JCI closed slightly lower by 0.09 percent or 4.52 points to the level of 5,110.19.

Closing the trade, 172 stocks rose, 232 stocks fell, and 178 stocks remained unchanged. Trading volume was recorded at 10.18 billion shares and transacted at Rp8.16 trillion.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gustama, said sentiment for the weakening of the JCI was driven by Donald Trump's speech regarding concerns that the COVID-19 case in the future will increase.

"Market players are taking this matter with great caution," Nafan told VOI.

Meanwhile, domestic sentiment, said Nafan, was that the government's stimulus programs had not been optimally absorbed.

"Then, there is still a lack of domestic and global macroeconomic data that has a high positive impact on the market," said Nafan.
