JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, admitted that he could no longer reveal the alternative location options that would be used as the Formula E circuit. Previously, Riza said Reclamation Island was one of the five location options to be chosen.

"There are 5 points that are being used as alternatives. One of them has been mentioned (on the Island of Reclamation). The other place, sorry, I can't convey it. If it has been submitted, it will be crowded. If it becomes crowded, it will be difficult, yes", said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Thursday, October 7th.

To determine the location for the circuit in June 2022, Riza said the DKI Provincial Government had several considerations.

First, the location chosen is an icon of Jakarta. Furthermore, considering aspects of legality to technical considerations for the implementation of the electric car racing event.

"There are many considerations, technical issues, safety, media interests, sponsors' interests, community interests, health protocols", said Riza.

"Because this activity is an international competition activity, of course, it must also provide added value for DKI Jakarta. It must also be in places that add to the Jakarta icon", he continued.

Previously, Riza leaked one of the locations that became an option for the implementation of Formula E, after canceling the location at Monas. One of the five locations that are alternatives to the Formula E circuit is the reclamation island, namely Pulau D or Pantai Maju and Pulau G or Pantai Bersama.

In addition, the Senayan area is also one of the choices for the electric car racing circuit.

"Earlier, the Director of Jakpro said it was not at Monas, there are five alternatives that will be checked later. There are various kinds, including in Senayan, at Pantai Maju, (Beach) Bersama, and others", said Riza on Wednesday, October 6.
