Dozens Of Semi-permanent Houses On The Banks Of The River, Lagoa Street Tanjung Priuk On Fire

JAKARTA - Another fire has hit the North Jakarta area. This time, the fire occurred in a residential area located on Lagoa Kanal Street, RT 09/02, Kebon Bawang Village, Tanjung Priuk District, North Jakarta.

Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat), Mulat Wijayanto, said that his party received a report of a fire at 10.35 WIB.

"When we received the news at 10.35 WIB, the object was a low-rise house", said Mulat to reporters, Thursday, October 7.

A total of 14 fire engines with 70 personnel were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire in the area is not yet known. Firefighters are still trying to put out the fire.

Meanwhile, in the West Jakarta area, fires also occurred at the electricity substation owned by PLN, Gili Sampeng Street, RT 001/04, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta. Black smoke billowed high on Thursday, October 7, morning, at around 07.22 WIB.

The fire was successfully localized around 09.15 WIB with water from 14 fire engines. The fire is thought to have been caused by damage to the electrical installation at the substation.
