School Principals And Teachers In South Jakarta Asked To Check Students' Bags Before Entering Class
JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Education Agency has asked all school principals and teachers to check students' bags before face-to-face learning (PTM) takes place in class to prevent brawls between students.
Head of the South Jakarta Education Sub-department 2 Abd Rachem, said that his party also asked teachers to contact parents to ensure students arrived home after PTM activities were completed.
"One thing, please look in his bag, check his bag. It's not the problem with the sharp weapon, but the child is carrying other clothes other than the uniform," Rachem said when contacted in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 5.
He said the school has a responsibility to ensure students are at home after the PTM is over.
"For example, until 11 o'clock is over, so at 12 o'clock at least you have to get home. That is the role of the student guardian or homeroom teacher," said Rachem. Previously, a brawl between students occurred on Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung near Gang Harapan, Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa , South Jakarta on Monday afternoon yesterday. The video of the student brawl at Lenteng Agung was caught on camera and circulated on social media Instagram "@recordjakarta".
The video shows a number of students still wearing school uniforms carrying sharp weapons, as well as acting on motorbikes.
Rachem ensured that together with related parties would investigate the brawl between students.
He said his party would impose strict sanctions on students involved in the action. In fact, he said, the revocation of the KJP can be carried out if the student is proven to have committed a brawl.
"The form is like this, if in the past the KJP rules depended on where the perpetrators came from. Later, they were sorted out. So it's not just withdrawing or deciding the KJP because like it or not, it's coaching," said Rachem.
