Chairman Of PAN: Reshuffle Is Up To The President, I Won't Take Care Of It

BADUNG - The chairman of the National Mandate Party, Zulkifli Hasan, is reluctant to talk about the cabinet reshuffle in the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government. Everything is returned to President Jokowi as the holder of the prerogative of cabinet affairs.

"That's the president's business. As for me, the deputy chairman of the MPR understands the rules. So, when it comes to the reshuffle, it's up to him. I don't take care of that, that's his business," said Zulkifli after the National Workshop on DPP PAN, in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali. , Monday, October 4th.

Zulkifli Hasan emphasized the joining of PAN to the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government to strengthen the government. PAN will play a role in ensuring that the wheels of government continue to run as well as ensuring that the division between the two political camps ends.

"Looking at the development of our nation, PAN is certainly a little concerned. Therefore, a few days ago we involved the whole of Indonesia, as a result of the 2014 2019 and 2024 presidential elections there were divisions. Zulkifli said that PAN was close to the Jokowi government coalition because so far there was a stronghold that stigmatized Jokowi as not being close to Islam. Zulkifli emphasized that this assumption is not true.

Because in the government ranks there are Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD as well as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, an Islamic scholar.

There are also Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno who are competing with Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin in the 2019 Presidential Election.

"Some say the government is not close to Islam, (that) is not true. I said the evidence was the deputy chairman of the Ulema Council. Then there is Prof. Mahfud, there is Prof. Muhadjir who is strengthened again by Mr. Prabowo and Sandi," continued Zulkifli.

Meanwhile, when asked about the presence of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in Bali, Zulkifli said Governor Anies was a resource person. PAN also invited East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil.
