Police Do Not Doubt The Track Record Of 57 Former KPK Employees In Combating Corruption
JAKARTA - The Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Pol. Argo Yuwono said that his institution is serious about recruiting 57 former KPK employees to become ASN Polri because his party does not doubt their track record in eradicating corruption.
In a video interview shared by the Police Public Relations Division on Friday, Argo said that the National Police and former KPK employees who did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK) had the same vision in eradicating corruption.
"Seeing that the track records of these KPK employees have the same vision, namely to eradicate corruption. For the track record, there is no need to worry, there is no doubt, it has been equally real," Argo said, as reported by Antara.
Argo explained that some of the former KPK employees were former police officers and from other law enforcement institutions.
Seeing this track record, the National Police Chief intends to recruit the former KPK employee who did not pass the TWK to become the National Police Civil Service (ASN).
This recruitment, said Argo, also sees the needs of the National Police organization in particular to be developed, especially in the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, so that there is a need for a human resource.
The request of the National Police Chief has been conveyed to President Joko Widodo by sending a letter of application on Friday (24/9).
The letter from the Chief of Police received an answer from the President which was submitted through the Minister of State Secretary in writing on Tuesday, September 27, which essentially asked the Police to coordinate with the Ministry of Empowerment of the State Civil Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform and the State Civil Service Agency (BKN).
"Of course, the National Police Chief hopes that all of his friends will accept this offer because from the police there are several spaces that need to be filled," said Argo.
Some of the spaces in question, said Argo, include preventing corruption, assisting activities in the procurement of goods and services, then also relating to the COVID-19 Pandemic Management program.
"These additional tasks need assistance from the National Police regarding the use of the COVID-19 budget. Apart from that, there are also other things that are in line with the needs of the Polri organization," said Argo.
