So Suspects Of Procurement And Regional Budget Bribery, 10 Members Of The Muara Enim DPRD Detained By KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named 10 members of the DPRD Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra, for the 2019-2024 period as suspects. They are suspected of accepting bribes related to the procurement of goods and services as well as the approval of the 2019 APBD.

The determination of the suspect was carried out after finding sufficient evidence and various legal facts during the trial process with the defendant Ahmad Yani, et al.

"KPK conducted an investigation and raised the status of this case to the investigative stage in September 2021 by announcing the suspect," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at a press conference at the KPK Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 30.

Those named as suspects are Indra Gani, Ishak Joharsah, Ari Yoca Setiadi, Ahmad Reo Kusuma, Marsito, and Mardiansyah. Furthermore, there are also Muhardi, Fitrianzah, Subahan, and Piardi.

"For the purposes of the investigation, the team of investigators made efforts to force detention for the next 20 days from September 30 to October 19," said Alex.

These ten people, he continued, were detained in three different detention houses, namely the KPK Rutan Kavling C1, the KPK Rutan Red and White Building Branch, and the KPK Detention Center at Pomdam Jaya Guntur. They will then self-isolate in their respective prisons.

Alex explained that the alleged bribery occurred when Ahmad Yani, who is still the Regent of Muara Enim, was met by Robi Okta Fahlevi with A Elfin MZ Muhtar in August 2019 to obtain a project for the procurement of goods and services at the PUPR Office of Muara Enim Regency.

After the meeting, Ahmad Yani asked Robi to meet with Elfin and asked for a fee commitment of 10 percent of the project value for officials in the Muara Enim Regency Government and members of the Muara Enim DPRD for the 2014-2019 period.

"After Robi Okta Fahlevi got several projects at the PUPR Office of Muara Enim Regency in 2019 with a total contract value of approximately Rp. 129 billion, then the fee commitments were distributed with varying amounts submitted by Robi Okta Fahlevi through Elfin MZ Muhtar," explained Alex.

Ahmad Yani received the money in the amount of Rp. 1.8 billion; Juarsah is around Rp. 2.8 billion and for the suspects it is suspected that a total of Rp. 5.6 billion. The money is received in stages and takes place in restaurants in the area with a nominal value of Rp. 50 million to Rp. 500 million.

"The receipt of money by the suspects as members of the DPRD is suspected so that there will be no interference from the DPRD against the programs of the Muara Enim Regency Government, especially related to the process of procuring goods and services at the PUPR Office of Muara Enim Regency in 2019 and allegedly used by the suspects for the benefit of participating in the election. members of the Muara Enim Regency DPRD at that time," explained Alex.

For their actions, the 10 DPRD members are suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes.
