COVID-19 Update As Of September 29: 1.954 New Cases , Recovered Cases Increase By 3.077

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 278.567 specimens were examined with the result that there were 1.954 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4.213.414 people and 37.412 active cases," according to data from the Ministry of Health, Wednesday, September 29.

Today's recovered cases increased by 3,077 cases, bringing the total to 4.031.099 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 117 people and a total of 141.826 people.

The province with the newest cases was in East Java with 225 cases and a total of 395.280 cases. Followed by Central Java with 199 new cases with a total of 481.865 cases. West Java has 191 new cases and a total of 702.613 cases. Then, DKI Jakarta with 177 new cases and a total of 857.616 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 337 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 294 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 277 recovered cases, and DKI Jakarta with an additional 193 recovered cases.

No province has reported zero new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 38.845.350.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.51 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 378.922 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 89.822.987 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 50.412.993 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 924.828. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208.265.720 people.
