Former KPK Spokesperson Johan Budi Considers Recruitment Of 56 KPK Employees By The National Police Chief Middle Street Polemic TWK

JAKARTA - Member of the House of Representatives Commission III Johan Budi Sapto Prabowo welcomed the plan of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to recruit 57 KPK employees who did not pass the national insight test (TWK).

"I think what the National Police Chief has done is seen as good intentions by the Police," said Johan at the DPR building, Wednesday, September 29.

The former spokesman for the Corruption Eradication Commission considered that the National Police Chief's move was a middle ground for the ongoing polemic of the TWK KPK.

"We all know that the TWK issue is still a debate in the public, whether employees are fired or dismissed by the institution or the KPK leadership, we are still reading that there are pros and cons between the two," explained Johan Budi.

However, said Johan, it is necessary to pay close attention to the mechanism of the recruitment of KPK employees by the Police.

Johan Budi believes that the National Police Chief will coordinate with the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) and the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) to find solutions to the 56 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK.

"So, if I see this step, we need appreciation of the good intentions of the police to find a solution, a middle way, and I read in the news that the National Police Chief also. From the confession I read, I agree," said Johan Budi.

Meanwhile, the National Police stated that they were still discussing the mechanism related to the recruitment of 56 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK.

"Regarding this, it will be discussed first. In this case, it is delegated to the Karo for Personnel Control (Dalpers), it will be discussed first how to recruit him," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan.

In placing the position, the Police stated that they must be careful and thorough. This is because each of the 56 KPK employees has a different background.

Previously reported, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo will recruit 56 KPK employees who were fired because they did not pass the National Insight Test (TWK). They will be used as State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Bhayangkara Corps.

In the recruitment effort, the National Police Chief has written to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). The letter relates to a request for permission regarding the recruitment of KPK employees who will be fired on September 30.

"We have sent a letter to the President asking for 56 people who did the TWK test who did not pass the test and were not appointed as KPK ASNs so that we could withdraw them and then recruit them to become Polri ASNs," said Sigit, Tuesday, September 28.

The National Police Chief also admitted that he had received a reply letter from Jokowi. The content is about giving the blessing to make dozens of members of the KPK as ASN Polri.

"We received a letter of response from the President through the Minister of State Secretary in writing that in principle he agreed to the 56 KPK employees to become ASN Polri," said Sigit.
