Makassar City Government Prepares Face-to-Face Learning Simulation
MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Government has prepared a face-to-face learning simulation (PTM) for students during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure there are no new clusters of transmission.
Makassar Mayor Moh Ramdhan Pomanto (Danny Pomanto) said he did not want to hastily implement the face-to-face learning process (PTM) for students during the pandemic.
"I don't want to be rash, we will prepare the simulation first and make sure the students are also healthy and all of the teachers are healthy. We will prepare it first before students return to school face to face," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 28.
He said that supporting facilities and infrastructure at schools such as places for washing hands, antiseptic liquid or hand sanitizers, and others must be available including routinely spraying disinfectants after learning is carried out.
According to Danny Pomanto, all supporting facilities must be ready and available in every school so that parents also don't worry about the health of their children when they study face-to-face at school.
"Don't be in a hurry to implement PTM, first make sure the readiness of students and teaching staff. Vaccination of 100 neighborhood units is the concentration of each sub-district. This can also be one way to see the health charts of our citizens," he said.
According to him, the opening of the school later, means that preparations have been made and scenarios must be made if something unexpected happens.
"Referring to epidemiological considerations and several experts and related agencies, we must make a list of what to do if something bad happens, such as a spike in COVID-19," he continued.
