Due To COVID-19, Spectrum Group Announces Disbandment
JAKARTA - Amid the heat of K-pop idol comebacks, the Spectrum group chose to disband on Friday, July 10. This news was shared by WYNN Entertainment, the agency that oversees Spectrum since its debut.
“Due to the deteriorating situation within our agency, for some reason such as COVID-19, we are no longer managing Spectrum. WYNN Entertainment terminated our contract with six Spectrum members as of July 10, 2020. "
The announcement of this sudden disbandment shocked fans. The reason is, they just made their debut in 2018.
The agency apologizes and thanks Spectrum who has been with WYNN Entertainment for three years. They also apologized to fans who have supported Spectrum to this point.
Spectrum is a K-pop group that made their debut in May 2018 with the song Light Up. Several Spectrum members were contestants of competition shows in South Korea, Dongyoon from MIXNINE and Jaehan from Produce 101 season two.
Two months later, Dongyoon Spectrum was pronounced dead. The funeral was held behind closed doors at the request of the family.
After that, Spectrum continued his career by releasing a number of songs and albums. The last time they made a comeback with the song Showtime was taken from the single album 0325 in February.
