Good News For Pertamina Oil Traders, Bank Mandiri Facilitates Credit Via Android Phone

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk. reported that the company has reached an agreement with PT Pertamina Lubricants in terms of business development of the two companies.

Bank Mandiri SEVP Micro and Consumer Finance Josephus K. Triprakoso said this step was a form of support to help access capital for outlets selling Pertamina Lubricants products.

"Hopefully, this initiative can help outlets to increase their sales capacity and contribute to the national economic recovery," he said in a press statement, Wednesday, September 15.

According to Josephus, the scheme used is outlet financing, with a ceiling that is adjusted to the needs of each outlet that has joined the Power application (Pertamina Owner and Mechanic Reward).

"The application is an android-based application that can be used by outlet owners and mechanics as a medium to get all information on the promo programs offered by Pertamina Lubricants for them," he said.

Josephus added that this facility is included in the application-based loan category (digital loan), which is very suitable for the current pandemic conditions.

"We are very enthusiastic about the synergy between SOEs because it is very strategic to support the achievement of the digitalization program in the MSME sector as well as provide access to banking. Moreover, we see that during this pandemic, Pertamina Lubricants has survived and even continues to perform well through business optimization, one of which is the launch of this financing outlet," he explained.

Meanwhile, the cooperation agreement was signed by Bank Mandiri SEVP Micro and Consumer Finance Josephus K. Triprakoso and Pertamina Lubricants Finance and Business Support Director Catur Darmawan today in Jakarta.

For information, based on data from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, it is known that in August 2021 the number of MSMEs that have been onboarding the digital ecosystem has only reached 15.3 million (23.9 percent). That number increased by 7.3 million during the pandemic from the target until 2024 to reach 30 million MSMEs.

"Bank Mandiri is committed to providing the best, both in terms of products, services and benefits received by the community at large," concluded Josephus.
