Dissecting Antimainstream Destinations In The Style Of Creative Tourism In Jakarta

JAKARTA - In Jakarta, there are many interesting stories to research and many culinary locations that should be visited. Unfortunately, this interesting location was "hidden" by the busyness of Jakarta as the capital city. So, people don't realize this.

However, it is also troublesome if you have to comb all the destinations in Jakarta one by one to dive deeper into their uniqueness. Certainly, people need facilities to help them dissect these locations.

Ira Lathief took this opportunity. Ira invited members of the Travel guide community in DKI to create a Jakarta Creative Tourism tour operator and Jakarta Food Traveler.

One member of the Jakarta Creative Tourism guide named Selma Isnaini told us. The tour guides on duty in Jakarta Creative Tourism have a license from the DKI Tourism and Culture Office.

"The tour guides here are not tin cans. We are officially registered as guides at the Department of Tourism and Culture. The members are also part of the Indonesian Tour Guides Association," Selma told VOI, Sunday, December 15.

Creative Tourism Jakarta offers four types of tours, including tomb tours, historical tours, culinary tours, and tourism tours. The rate charged to each guest is IDR 70 thousand.

Especially for bineka tours, guests are invited to visit places of worship such as mosques, churches, temples, monasteries and temples. All places of worship are located in Jakarta and the tour is conducted in one day.

Their targets are anti-mainstream tourist locations. So, guests who join their services can know that tourism in Jakarta is not only the National Monument and the Old City.

Tours are conducted every Saturday and Sunday. In a day, they have two tour packages which are held in the morning and evening. All tour tracing is done on foot.

"We deliberately use the concept of the Walking Tour. The tour is while talking about the places we visit, while making ourselves healthy by walking," said Selma.

However, Selma also realized that not all strong guests walked quite a distance. "We also pay attention to distance. For example during a tour to the Bogor Botanical Gardens. From Bogor Station to the Botanical Gardens, someone will continue to take an angkot, because later in the Botanical Gardens we will go around again on foot, afraid of being tired," he explained.

So far, the number of destinations that have been held by Jakarta Creative Tourism is more than 20 tour packages. Their destination criteria are anti-mainstream culinary locations or places.

In fact, some of the selected tourist sites are frequently visited. However, Jakarta Creative Tourism offers something new by sharing stories about the origins of the building.

In choosing a destination, Jakarta Creative Tourism always appoints their members to conduct a survey first. Do not forget also for them to do activity permits to the manager of the place.

"First we look for a unique location ourselves, then we survey the place, secondly we also hear from guests who recommend it, we as a guide for some people we survey the field there. Then we arrange tour packages," Selma explained.

"As much as possible, at the time of selecting the route we do not have a back track, so as not to bore visitors. Then, the food we choose as a tourist location for the food tour must be delicious," he concluded.
