LeBron James Criticized Again, Ibrahimovic: Sport Unites, Politics Divides, Smart People Will Understand
JAKARTA - It's no secret that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and LeBron James don't get along. And the war of words between the two now continues.
Swedish footballer Ibrahimovic insists that the sport unites and the politic divides. And that intelligent people will understand it.
It started in March when Ibrahimovic sent a message to the Los Angeles Lakers star, pointing out that racism and politics are different things.
"Athletes and sport unite the world, politics separate them," said Ibrahimovic. "Everyone is welcome in the environment, it doesn't matter where you come from. We do everything to bring people together."
However, James responded by pointing out that Ibrahimovic himself had claimed there had been racism against him in Sweden because of his Balkan background.
The AC Milan forward responded to James' comments on Sunday.
"I see that we are not politicians, politics divides people," Ibrahimovic added.
