JAKARTA – Following up on Indonesia-Australia cooperation in the defense sector, Army Chief of Staff (KASAD) General TNI Andika Perkasa received a visit from the Australian Defense Attaché, Colonel Micah Batt and his assistant Richard Swaby at Army Headquarters.

The meeting discussed the procurement of the Bushmaster defense equipment from the Australian Defense Force. TNI General Andika Perkasa also responded well, and made a plan to purchase the Bushmaster from Australia.

In addition, the Australian Defense Force also plans to provide 15 Bushmaster fleets for the Indonesian Army's operational tactical vehicles.

In addition to discussing cooperation in adding defense equipment, this meeting also discussed the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in each country.

The Australian Defense Attache said that there would be medical equipment assistance prepared from Australia for Indonesia.
