East Java Police Still Investigating Explosion Kills 2 Residents And Injures 4 In Pasuruan, Suspected Bondet Fish Bomb
JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Pol. Gatot Repli Handoko, said his party was still investigating deeply the explosions that occurred in two residents' houses, Kind Putih Hamlet, RT 01/01, Pekangkung Village, Gondang Wetan District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. Police suspect, the explosion was caused by a fish bomb or bondet.
"It's true what happened. What is clear is that we are still continuing to investigate the cause of the explosion," said Kombes Pol Gatot when contacted by VOI, Saturday, September 11, evening.
Two houses were destroyed after a massive explosion occurred on Saturday 11 September, early in the morning. As a result of the explosion, 2 people were found dead.
The victim was identified as Gofar (40), the occupation of a farmer. He died on his way to the health center. Meanwhile, Mat Shodiq (60), who was Gofar's parents, was also found dead. Mat Shodiq is registered as a resident of Gadingrejo District, Pasuruan City. Mat Shodiq died at the crime scene (TKP).
The other 4 victims suffered minor injuries. They were named M. Imron (30) Gofar's younger brother, Siti Khoiriyah (45) Gofar's neighbor, Fery (13) Gofar's son and Arik (6 months) Gofar's neighbour.
"The explosion is thought to have come from a fish bomb or a bondet that came from Gofar's house," said Gatot.
After the explosion, the police confiscated evidence of small and large black plastic bag bundles. Then stack the pieces of paper suspected of containing explosives (gunpowder).
"Both victims were autopsied. We are still conducting lab tests on evidence of explosives and investigations at the crime scene. We will investigate the acquisition of the type of explosives used, we will reveal the network from upstream to downstream," he said.
Until now, the case of the deadly explosion that killed 2 people is still being handled by the East Java Regional Police.
