A Week In Effect, This Is The Experience Of KRL Passengers Using A Vaccine Certificate

JAKARTA - The use of the train mode of transportation has no longer enforced the use of a Worker Registration Certificate (STRP) or other assignment letters since Wednesday, September 8, yesterday. The requirements for using the train mode of transportation switch to a vaccine certificate through the PeduliLindung application or a physical vaccine card.

From field observations, the atmosphere of the Manggarai Train Station, South Jakarta, looks busy and smoothly. There were three station officers wearing white uniforms giving an appeal for the conditions for boarding the train.

They often provide guidance to several residents who have difficulty in scanning the PeduliLindung application code. The stipulation of the transition of conditions will take effect on Saturday 11 September.

According to KRL passengers, this requirement is considered easier than the previous requirements for taking the train. Almost all passengers at the station welcomed the new rules. They say that using the PeduliLindung application is easier in terms of use.

"I prefer the PeduliLindung application. Personally, it's easier for me to use the Peduli Protect application because I don't have to carry around a vaccine certificate. I only use my smartphone," Maria said when met by reporters at Manggarai Station, Saturday, September 11.

Furthermore, the woman from Bogor said that the use of the PeduliLindung application as a condition for riding the KRL seemed exclusive to certain people because not all residents had adequate device specifications.

"It's just that not everyone's device supports the PeduliLindung application. So maybe some people find it easier to use STRP or ID cards. If this means the device must support it," he said.

Maria also admitted that almost every day she uses the KRL mode of transportation for daily needs.

"Every day, because I go home from work using the KRL," he said.

Meanwhile, Armando (28) thinks differently. He admitted that he was a little worried about his personal data. According to him, the PeduliLindung application is able to access personal data such as the user's gallery collection and contacts.

"Actually, it's more a matter of privacy data, right. If I access the application, it must be connected to our gallery, then to our phone number. I myself feel a little anxious. Because lately there's been a lot of data theft," he admitted.

Armando hopes that the PeduliLindung application manager can change the policies and regulations regarding access to personal data.
