Megawati Denies Admission To ICU, PDIP: Alhamdulillah, Healthy
JAKARTA - Rumors circulated that the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Megawati Soekarnoputri, was in critical condition and being treated in the ICU at the Pertamina Central Hospital. However, this news was denied by a senior PDIP politician, Hendrawan Supratikno.
"Wow, that's not true (Megawati was rushed to the ICU RSPP)," he said, Thursday, September 9. The member of Commission XI of the DPR RI, said recently that there had been a lot of information circulating that easily reported people were sick or died. "Yesterday Pak Habibie was said to have been rushed to hospital, then Mike Tyson is said to be dead," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) of DPP PDIP Sadarestuwati also confirmed that the news was not true. "No, thank God you're in good health," said Sadarestu.
According to him, Megawati is in good health and at her residence in Teuku Umar, Menteng. "Just pray, God willing, she will always be healthy," he said.
