Kapolda Fadil Imran Gives A Warning To His Subordinates, Don't Have To Fight With Long Rifles

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran held a weekly meeting with the ranks of the Resort Police under the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya, last Monday, September 6. In the meeting, Kapolda Fadil gave a stern warning to his subordinates to be more humane in handling criminals.

One of the things that caught the attention of Kapolda Fadli was the arrest of comedian Coki Pardede whose video went viral. Even though he was a criminal, Fadil strictly forbade the video of the arrest to be distributed to the public.

"I saw the video (of the arrest) that went viral on social media, besides that it is unethical, it also degrades human dignity. It is not good to be seen by the public, with a narration with sentences that demean human dignity," said the Kapolda in a meeting quoted from Deddy Corbuzier's Instagram post, @mastercorbuzier, Wednesday, 7 September.

For Kapolda Fadil, whoever did it still has the right as an individual that must be respected and respected.

Not only that, this two-star general requested that every release of disclosure of cases not need to use long-barreled weapons. This refers to the habit of police personnel guarding suspects using long-barreled weapons.

"I ask to be more humane, if you are not a dealer (drugs) and not terrorists, you don't need to use long barrels (weapons), you don't have to be cocky. Events that show violence, which can be imitated, don't have to be like using long barrels, that's inhumane, you don't have to. "said the Chief of Police.

"Congratulations on your duty, I thank you for your performance in keeping Jakarta cool, peaceful as well as the extraordinary achievement of acceleration of vaccination by all ranks," said Kapolda Fadil.
