Bali Is Still PPKM Level 4 Because COVID-19 Patients Treated Are Still High, This Is The Explanation From The Health Office

DENPASAR - The central government has extended PPKM level 4 for the Bali region. The reason is that the number of treatments for COVID-19 patients in hospitals is still high.

The head of the Bali Provincial Health Office, Ketut Suarjaya, explained that there were COVID-19 patients who were still being treated at the hospital because the patient's condition was in a severe category.

"The hospital treats patients with moderate and severe categories. If they are in severe or critical condition, it will be difficult to handle," said Suarjaya, Tuesday, September 7.

The Health Office has prepared a treatment scheme so that the number of patients treated in hospitals due to COVID-19 continues to be suppressed. The Health Office makes centralized isolation effective.

"Effective isoters, reduce isomanism so that new cases can be controlled so they don't become severe and end up in the hospital," he added.

Suarjaya said there were 1,221 COVID-19 patients who were still being treated. Among them, 1,046 patients were treated in non-ICU rooms, and 175 patients were treated in ICUs.

"About 20 percent are severe and critical, especially those who have not been vaccinated," said Suarjaya.

Bali has decided that the central government will still apply PPKM level 4. But the good news is that malls will be opened with certain restrictions.

“Bali still needs one week to go down to level 3 from level 4 due to the high hospitalization rate. I have communicated it to the governor of Bali,” said Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan, Monday, September 6.

But the government decided to open a mall/shopping center in Bali. Trials were carried out regarding health protocols and the use of PeduliLindung.

"We will test the health protocol and Care Protect for malls and shopping centers in Bali with certain limitations," said Luhut Pandjaitan.
