On the occasion of the Public Relations of the National Police, President Jokowi and the National Police Chief greeted virtually the implementation of independent vaccinations for houses of worship and Islamic boarding schools in East Java, Central Kalimantan, and West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Regarding this activity, Sigit revealed that the Free Vaccination is a strategy carried out by the TNI-Police related to the acceleration or acceleration of the creation of communal immunity.

"Today's Independent Vaccination involves houses of worship and Islamic boarding schools targeting the general public, the elderly, congregations, students, boarding school caregivers, and administrators of places of worship at 341 points with a total target of 346,688 people", said Sigit while accompanying President Jokowi to review the independence vaccination at the KH Syamsudin Islamic Boarding School, Ponorogo, East Java.

"In this activity, social assistance was also distributed to affected communities and vaccination program participants totaling 60,341 food packages and 88 tons of rice", said Sigit.

Sigit emphasized that the TNI and Police will continue to cooperate with all elements of society to create 100 percent vaccination in the community until the second dose.

According to him, this is a manifestation of the implementation of extraordinary measures and policies taken by the Government for the safety of the public as stated in the principle of Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto.

"To contain the spread of COVID-19, the National Police continues to strive to accelerate national vaccination through various vaccination strategies, including vaccination strategies by involving communities as we are doing now," said the former Police Chief of Criminal Investigation Department.

On this occasion, Sigit explained, the free vaccination that embraces religious leaders and students is expected to be a "Getok Tular" (spread of word of mouth) to family, neighbors, friends, and the community in their environment. So that people do not hesitate in participating in the vaccination program.

"In addition, the implementation of the vaccination program in houses of worship also aims to revitalize houses of worship as a social function. Houses of worship essentially have the function of guiding the behavior of their congregations in the order of social life, including preventing the transmission of COVID-19", said Sigit.

Furthermore, Sigit also explained that the high level of vaccination achievement is the basic capital in coexistence with COVID-19, namely how the economy can grow. But COVID-19 did not spike again.

"Of course this is accompanied by compliance with health protocols for washing hands, wearing masks, and maintaining distance. Thus, the goals of Advanced Indonesia and Indonesia Gold 2045 can be realized", concluded Sigit.
